FORECAST
The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow advisory for today.
The cold air pouring across Lake Ontario will continue to bring snow into the region with a daytime accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.
As of 6 a.m., snowfall in Rome was 5 inches and in Utica it was 2 inches, according to WKTV.
Light to moderate snowfall will persist as the snow bands continue to shift through Oneida County and winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour will cause some areas of decreased visibility and "treacherous driving," according to the NWS.
