The city Medical Examiner's Office is awaiting the results of tissue and toxicology testing to determine how Sylvie Cachay, 33, died.
An initial autopsy into the cause of death of the beautiful designer found lifeless in a Soho House hotel bathroom was inconclusive, authorities said Friday.
The city Medical Examiner's Office is awaiting the results of tissue and toxicology testing to determine how Sylvie Cachay, 33, died.
"The autopsy did not produce any conclusive results to solve the mystery of the woman's death," NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.
No one has been charged in Cachay's death, though cops Friday were seeking a search warrant to examine Cachay's beau, Nicholas Brooks, 24.
"We want to look for any evidence that might explain the circumstances of her death," Browne said.

Cachay's grief-stricken father, Antonio Cachay, said he wants a "a second opinion" of any autopsy findings.
Brooks, the son of disgraced songwriter Joseph Brooks, has remained in police custody since Cachay's body was found early Thursday morning, face-up in a bathtub with red marks on her neck, a bite mark on her hand and bleeding from her eyes.
Cachay's devastated parents told the Daily News that their designer daughter had recently separated from Brooks - and the break-up was amicable.
Her parents spoke to The News in their McLean mansion, dressed in silk bathrobes after a long sleepless night absorbing "the shock" of losing their only daughter.
"He had a bad life," said Sylvia Cachay, the victim's mother, referring to Brooks.
"She liked to save people," said her mom, a painter who spoke adoringly about her daughter's upbringing in this wealthy suburban Washington enclave of the rich.
Sylvie Cachay attended the exclusive Langley and Madeira private schools.
The victim bonded with Brooks after her dog was run over a couple of months ago, her parents explained.
She was inconsolable and Brooks comforted her.
"That's where the love develops," Cachay's mom said.
"He was unemployed. He wasn't working," added the father. "She said, 'I told him I wanted him to have a job, to do something."
"We're trying to clear our minds. Something is just not right," Antonio Cachay said. "Why was she in the tub? She was the type to take a quick shower. She was a New York girl."
Cachay's mom said she can't comprehend the loss yet of a woman who was "a fighter" all her life.
"This has taken away my will of living," the mother said. "I don't have a reason to live."
Cachay didn't do drugs, or drink or smoke, her mom insisted.
"She wasn't that kind of girl," her father added.
